Time Introduction USEA 1:00 – 1:05 pm Clean Hydrogen Future Coalition Formation The Clean Hydrogen Future Coalition (CHFC) formed to support federal clean hydrogen policies that will stimulate the adoption of clean hydrogen in the U.S. and enable the country to achieve national decarbonization objectives while increasing U.S. global competitiveness. The CHFC will discuss how and why its diverse membership came together in support of these mission objectives, and what it sees as objectives going forward. This panel discussion will focus on the various methods by which clean hydrogen can be produced and utilized in a clean hydrogen economy. Shannon Angielski (moderator) Clean Hydrogen Future Coalition Jim Brewer North America’s Building Trades Unions 2:05 – 2:15 pm Policy Needs to Scale Clean Hydrogen The Biden administration has identified decarbonized hydrogen as an important component of its American Jobs Plan, and several Congressional leaders have developed or introduced legislation supporting the production of clean hydrogen.  This session will review what policy proposals currently exist and highlight policy concepts that CHFC members have identified as most beneficial to support clean hydrogen.
